However, they don’t come cheap so be sure to do your research and read as many good, independent reviews as possible before buying.
The type of iPod that suits you best will depend a lot on what you need it for and your budget. At present, the iPod line consists of the iPod shuffle, the iPod nano, the iPod classic and the iPod touch.
The shuffle acts as a basic music player with 1GB of memory, while the touch offers full media playing capabilities, a touch screen user interface, up to 32GB, safari browser, Wi-Fi and even YouTube.
As you probably know by now, Apple gadgets and computers aren’t cheap. While the nano and the shuffle are pretty affordable at, $49 and $149 respectively, you could be forking out hundreds of dollars for a classic or a touch so you want to be sure of what you are getting.

Nowadays, not only do you not have to tote around a bunch of CD’s or cassette tapes, you can carry thousands of tunes on one simple little device – an iPod. Using an iPod car adapter will enable you to listen to your favorite tunes, wherever you go.Some newer model cars come with a built in iPod adapter, which makes things simple. You simply plug your iPod into the built in jack. Other options for vehicles that don’t come equipped with this are wireless and cassette adapters. If you have an iPod, there is a way to use it in your car. One of the best things about these wonderful little inventions is that you can travel across the United States and never listen to the same song twice. Amazing! Most people who don’t have a built-in iPod car adapter choose the wireless option. The wireless adapter provides the clearest sound, although it is a little more costly than the cassette variety. The biggest problem with wireless adapters is finding an FM frequency with no signal on it. This is especially true in big cities.Searching for an FM station with no signal is easiest if you start at the low and high ends of the spectrum. This is where there are usually the most stations with no signals. If you can find three channels together with no signal, you will get the clearest music from your iPod wireless car adapter. If this isn’t possible, try to find stations on either side that have the weakest signal. Some mechanical skill is required if you wish to install an iPod car adapter yourself, or you may choose to pay someone who is experienced to do it for you. It is well worth the amount you will spend to have someone else do it for you. iPod music will spoil you – there is no other music source that provides you with sound so true and clear. What if you aren’t familiar with all of the iPod accessories, and don’t know which particular product to choose? Get online and do some searching. By searching for iPod car adapters, you will find hundreds of sites with information about the subject. Some of these sites will have reviews where others give their opinions about particular products and how easy or difficult they were to use.For many people, the only time they listen to music is when driving their car. Music invokes long ago memories and helps us relate to special and sometimes sad times in our lives. Music is an integral part of many people lives – shouldn’t the sound and clarity be of excellent quality? If you don’t have an iPod, get one. Also make sure to get an iPod car adapter for your car – after all, driving a car and listening to music go hand in hand! Joel McLaughlin / DataFlurry

The iPod shuffle is the smallest of the iPod family and it is the simplest, but it is still convenient and has good sound quality. The iPod shuffle is available in two models. The first generation of the iPod shuffle is as big as a pack of gum. There is no screen on the iPod, but it still has navigation. Many people took to the iPod Shuffle because it was easy to carry around on a run or to keep around during a workout. The iPod shuffle is still popular, and has become more so since the 2nd generation of the iPod shuffle.
Even though there is no screen on the iPod, there is still the standard click wheel on the front face that allows the user to navigate through its songs. Every iPod has the click wheel so that the user can go forward and backwards through the playlist. While most iPod models have a menu screen, the iPod Shuffle lacks this feature. The songs are shuffled on one playlist and the user has the choice to start the playlist over each time the iPod is used, or they can set the iPod shuffle to continue where it left off each time they leave the iPod Shuffle.
Since there is no screen on the iPod shuffle, the battery life is portrayed through blinking lights on the front and back of the iPod Shuffle. When the iPod shuffle is charging, the light will blink an orange color. Once the charge is complete, it will be a green light. When the iPod shuffle is losing battery, the light will either be orange or red. There is a card included with the iPod that informs the user of what the lights are indicating.
The 2nd generation iPod shuffle is much smaller than the first iPod, and has a back clip that covers the whole back side. The newest version of the iPod shuffle still has the click wheel, but has no screen. The casing is durable like that of the iPod Nano 2nd gen. Both models of the iPod shuffle are successful amongst runners and other people that use their iPod for workouts. The iPod shuffle is small enough that it will not get in the way of most body movements.
Apple created the iPod shuffle in hopes to appeal to the active type of people. Even though they are not as advanced as the rest of the iPod family, they are intended for those to listen to music on the go. A person can get several hundred songs onto their iPod, which is enough for a couple of hours worth of music.
There are two generations of the iPod shuffle that people have the option of choosing from. While they are small and compact, the iPod shuffle has a lot of potential, and can still be useful for many people. They are the smallest of the iPod family, and are great for many people.
