The most popular Apple product right now is the iPod Nano. The iPod Nano is much smaller than the rest of the iPod family, save for the iPod shuffle. The screen on the iPod Nano is tiny, but it is color and has a surprisingly high resolution. Because the screen is so clear, it is said to be able to have more characters in one line than the iPod Mini. The screen is no bigger than a postage stamp, but is still able to portray the album art of the current song that is playing. iPod Nano comes with a capacity of 4GB(1,000 songs) and 8GB(2,000 songs). With an anodized aluminum top and polished stainless steel back. Six eye-catching colors. A larger, brighter display with the most pixels per inch of any Apple display, ever. iPod nano stirs up visual effects from the outside in. And it will wow you for hours. Play up to 5 hours of video or up to 24 hours of audio on a single charge. All that staying power and a wafer-thin, 6.5-mm profile makes iPod nano one small big attraction.
With Cover Flow on iPod nano, you can flip through your music to find the album you want to hear. Use the Click Wheel to adjust volume, navigate songs, browse in Cover Flow, or explore the Music menu by playlist, artist, album, song, genre, composer, and more. Want to mix things up? Click Shuffle Songs. iPod nano makes your music look as good as it sounds, thanks to its bright color display.
Buy or rent movies from the iTunes Store to your iPod nano to watch anywhere, anytime. Up to 5 hours of video playback means you can watch two movies back to back. And for your viewing pleasure, the 320-by-240-pixel display with a whopping 204 pixels per inch and is 65 percent brighter than before. There is always something good on iPod nano. Browse thousands of episodes of your favorite TV shows on the iTunes Store, buy them for just $1.99 each, then sync them to your iPod nano. Watch last nights episodes this morning, or buy a whole TV series and play a pocket-size marathon. The iTunes Store features thousands of free video and audio podcasts, including indie favorites and offerings from such big names as ABC News, Comedy Central, ESPN, PBS, NPR, and many more. Browse and subscribe to podcasts, then sync them to your iPod nano. You can even play video podcasts on TV using an optional Apple component or composite AV cable.
The digital shelves of the iTunes Store are stocked with thousands of audiobooks including exclusives like the entire Harry Potter series so you can catch up on your reading wherever iPod nano takes you. iPod nano even recognizes where you left off reading and bookmarks your place.
Put hours of fun at your fingertips. iPod nano comes with three games Vortex, iQuiz and Klondike and you can download more from the iTunes Store for $4.99 each. All iPod games are designed specifically for the iPod interface. And all of them look great on the 2-inch color display.
iPod nano holds up to 7,000 photos you can sync from your Mac or PC via iTunes. Use the Click Wheel to scroll through photo thumbnails. To see a photo full screen, click the center button. You can even view your photo slideshows complete with music and transitions on a TV using an optional Apple component or composite AV cable.
Calendars, contacts, and a screen lock appear in the Extras menu, along with a few more handy items. Take the world clock, for example. Spin the Click Wheel to choose different clocks for cities all over the world. For workouts, use the built-in stopwatch to log your best times.

I can honestly say that when I bought home an iPod Touch just days before we were to leave the country for a year my partner of 25 years was very annoyed, actually she was down right cranky. You see we had planned to purchase the iPod Touch with frequent flyer points because we were embarking on a journey without a guaranteed wage for 12 months! You can see where I am going with this right? As things turned out, there was none in stock at Frequent Flyer Points HQ and so I decided to buy it anyway. My thinking at this at this point was, we need it – what the hell! As you can imagine, literally three days before flying everyone was exhausted. So when I turned up with the iPod the questions were like “what were you thinking?”, “we don’t need this kind of expense at this stage!” could be heard coming from my partner’s normally calm and serene lips. After some talking, I assured her that she would see the benefit. We are nine months into the trip and I have to say that since then I have been enjoying seeing my partner eat humble pie – about the iPod Touch anyway. It has been fantastic, let me tell you why. To quote my partner is been an ‘all things to all people’ type resource for us. From a language learning aid to professional maintenance tool to child entertainment unit to photo store, portable internet connection and homework aid it has been fabulous. For someone like my partner who is not particularly technology savvy she has found it easy to use.Heading to a Spanish speaking country with both my partner and kids having limited language we downloaded a heap of *FREE* language resources which both my partner and with the kids used. The courses were brilliant with many of them coming with PDF guides which you can read while you listen. My partner specially found that Coffee Break series was great, they offer a number of languages and they are available via the Apple Store. We also downloaded a whole lot of seminars to help us keep up to date with our respective areas of work. We found the video screen surprisingly big and clear enough to see comfortably – despite my newly acquired glasses… At the same time the unit is small, light and we literally carry it everywhere. The last question the kids ask before we leave the flat is “mum/dad do you have the iPod?” and they clamour to be the one who gets “first go”. With three of them constantly using it? The battery life is great – even with all the graphics. The kids enjoy watching movies and listening to music on the iPod. We have stored over 300 photos of the trip to date – which we all enjoy. It’s so much easier than carrying around wallets of photos and these pics never get dog eared or ripped. With the iPod we have the best of both worlds, digitally stored photos and pictures to show. And the system still has plenty of disk space. But wait there’s more! At any cafe with Wi-Fi connection the iPod allows two of the three kids to access Youtube and other favourite web sites. And the adults can use it to work (if we ever get a chance) with email and a host of other features/applications. Honestly, the worst thing about this is that we only have one and so we are continually debating who should have a turn next – especially on long bus trips. We have used the calculator function for school projects, the map function – the list goes on and on – you get the idea Is there anything we don’t like about it? it would be nice to have an auto lock function that after a specified period it would lock itself as we have to consciously remember to lock the screen down before putting it into our backpack – otherwise it bumps against things and changes the track. Grubby hands and constant handling means that our screen covers don’t last as long as I imagine others do. If you are going to take one with you when travelling make sure you have a spare screen cover in reserve. Normally I don´t write product reviews but both my partner and I were so pleasantly surprised by our experience with the product to date that I just had to write it. From our point of view the iPod really is a valuable (indispensable even?) traveling aid. It is both functional and an entertainment unit all in one. And we have benefited from having it with us. Humble pie anyone? Travelling with my partner and our kids (10 years and under)through South America, Europe and Asia. For more family adventures see http://www.bythebay.com.au/blogswarovski crystals
Continue Reading »Apple’s revolutionary digital media player the iPod remains as popular as ever in iPod reviews, however it has evolved into much more than a music player over the last few years. There are now a number of models ranging form the very basic iPod shuffle to the cool and classy iPod touch. However, they don’t come cheap so be sure to do your research and read as many good, independent reviews as possible before buying.
The type of iPod that suits you best will depend a lot on what you need it for and your budget. At present, the iPod line consists of the iPod shuffle, the iPod nano, the iPod classic and the iPod touch.
The shuffle acts as a basic music player with 1GB of memory, while the touch offers full media playing capabilities, a touch screen user interface, up to 32GB, safari browser, Wi-Fi and even YouTube.
As you probably know by now, Apple gadgets and computers aren’t cheap. While the nano and the shuffle are pretty affordable at, $49 and $149 respectively, you could be forking out hundreds of dollars for a classic or a touch so you want to be sure of what you are getting.
Ideally, when you will want to buy something it is good to try it out beforehand. However, this is not always possible so the next best thing is to see it in action. Search YouTube and other video sharing websites for videos of people using and voicing their opinions on their iPods.
Another excellent way to gauge the quality of a product is by reading reviews. You will find thousands of reviews and customer testimonials on the internet that will give you a good idea of what you are getting. Also check out blogs and forums. You will find useful advice and opinions everywhere on the internet. <a href="http://ipodreviews.weebly.com” rel=”nofollow”>Click here now – http://ipodreviews.weebly.com for in-depth and helpful iPod reviews.asap travel toronto
Continue Reading »I was definitely not one of those people that were out of the loop with the iPod craze, in fact I believe I was the ring leader! For those that live under a rock, an iPod is a product made by Apple that plays MP3s among other media depending on which iPod you have! These cool little gadgets come in different sizes as well as colors. And if you’re a trendy tech junkie then you probably have one of these, and if you don’t then you definitely need one! The very first one I bought was the iPod shuffle, it’s really small and really simple. But I just needed something to listen to my music on. The next one I got was the iPod touch. Consider the “craze” people went through for the shuffle and multiply that time 500 and you have got yourself an image of what people acted like when the iPod touch was coming out! I love my iPod touch, it’s the best thing since white bread. As said above on the shuffle and nano, there are several different “generations” with some of these products. Lets just call it updating and leave it at that! There are also products in the Apple line up such as the Apple iPhone which is like having a TV, ipod, DVD player, phone, computer anything else you can think of, all wrapped up in one sweet little package and the Mac book air (among other macs)! The original prices for these products range from $49 for the shuffle on up to $2,799 for the Mac Pro. Fortunately for places like eBay you can buy a brand new shuffle for $18 or less and the Mac Pro for $700 or less. Sounds good, don’t it!?!
You can also check out other sites like BestBuy or Circuit City but don’t expect to beat the prices on eBay. In fact, if you want anything close to the prices eBay has the only other place you could go would be Amazon. With both of these sites you can pretty much decide if you want an Apple product, new, used or refurbished. Have fun picking the best Apple product for you!
You can also check out these non Apple products as listed below. All of these products are out, so there is no waiting around!

Are you using iPhone or iPod? Then its about time you udate the software used by these hardware platforms, iTunes and QuickTime. Security breaches have been found in the software associated and distributed worldwide with the iPod and iPhone from Apple. There are several security leaks of which some are pretty extensive. The most known security holes have been blocked in new patches of these two software applications. There are ten different security holes that can be tightened up through automatic update on both the Windows and Mac OS operating systems. The errors utilized in QuickTime lies in the media player that is associated with the media software iTunes. Most of the iPod and iPhone users utilize iTunes to update their media player with new music, videos and podcasts. The software iTunes is needed to use the iPhone at all, and to restore, update or handle media files. The security errors can in worst case make it possible for malicious hackers to install software on your computer that should not be there. They disguise this destructive and malicious software as movie cuts that will make the users to open them and give access to the hackers. The malicious code will make QuickTime to crash and if possible to install other malicious software to work in batch on your computer without you knowing it at all. It is really bad news that malicious code is hidden in media files and let users believe that its only a movie they open up and not a malicious code hidden in it. The internet transfers more and more media files, so it is of great concern this trend. A security hole in iTunes will also be fixed now together with an upgrade patch that will make the software ready for the next version of iPhone operating system 3.0 which is expected within short time. So my advise to you is to update your applications iTunes and QuickTime now, and make sure you are updating it on a regular basis to implement the latest versions with fixes that at least takes the most common and known security holes in these applications.
